Tritons Junior Swimmers rank amongst the best

Congratulations to the 39 Tritons swimmers who achieved JX Qualification for season 09/10.

The Australian Junior Excellence Program (JX) recognises, rewards and encourages junior swimmers aged 9 - 13 years, who achieve times set by Swimming Australia and based on their best performances throughout the season. Swimmers qualify at one of four levels  Gold, Silver, Bronze or Green standard depending on these achievements and as recognition of this achievement receive the following:

  • A distinctive JX cap (9 and 10 year olds) or JX shirt (11 to 13 year olds) 
  • A JX certificate of achievement, signed by the National Youth Coach and members of the Australian Swim Team!
  • A JX motivational poster, featuring elite Australian swimmers
  • Publication of their name on this website
  • A JX DVD with tips from Swimming experts

Scholarship: Bendigo Bank Donc East Templestowe Vill CA Tritons Community Swimming Scholarships 2010

The Bendigo Bank has a strong philosophy of giving back to the communties in which it operates.  In line with tradition the Bendigo Bank - Doncaster East/Templestowe Village Branches reognize the cost both in finances and time, talented and dedicated athletes and their families endure to excel in the sport of swimming.

This recognition has lead to the formation of the Bendigo Bank - Doncaster East/Templestowe Village, CA Tritons Community Scholarships for Swimmers (Gold, Silver and Bronze Scholarships).  These scholarships operate for the competitive swimming season i.e., the 1st of May to the 30th of April, annually.

Patron - Shayne Reese OAM.  Shayne Reese, Olympic Champion/Medalist and past CA Tritons Swimmer (previously Carey Aquatic). has agreed to be the patron for these scholarships.  Shayne is a true embodiment of the characteristics that the successful applicants must possess.

2010 VIC Age Championships PDF Print E-mail

Congratulations to all the CA Tritons Swimmers who competed in the 2010 VIC Age Championships held at MSAC from Jan 6 - 10.  There were a lot of pb's swum and a number of swimmers achieved National Age Qualifying Times.  Particular praise must go to all athletes who attended for the good sportsmanship shown and the vigorous cheering.

Gold Medals were won by: Jordan Chivers (100m & 200m Breaststroke), Remy Harvey (100m Fly), Joel Alati (100m Free), 16/u Mens 200 Medley Relay (Cairns, Chivers, Harvey & Alati), 16/u Mens 200 Free Relay (Alati, Harvey, Cairns & Cooper) and the 18/u Mens 200 Medley Relay (Read, Mak, Harvey & Alati).

Silver Medals were won by: Andrew Read (100m Back), Remy Harvey (100m Free), Raymond Mak (200m IM) & Alistair Cooper (200m Fly).

Bronze Medals were won: Joel Alati (200m Free), Raymond Mak (100m breast), Andrew Read (100m free) and Isobella Plush (100m & 200m Fly).

Finalists: Maddie Sullivan (100m Back, 100m Breast, 100m Free & 200m IM), Raymond Mak (100m Back, 200m Breast & 100m Free), Remy Harvey (400m Free & 200m Free), Morgan Khan (100m & 200m Breast), Nic Schwarz (100m, 200m & 400m Free), Olivia Knowles (100m & 200m Back), Des Cairns (100m Back  & 100m Free), Joel Alati (100m Back), Jordan Chivers (200m IM), Isobella Plush (200m Free, 400m Free & 200m IM), Georgia Daniel (100m Breast), Ryan Jasinghe (200m Breast), Women's 16/u 200 Free Relay (H. Daniel, Knowles, Plush & O'Rourke) & Women's 18/u 200 Medley Relay (Knowles, Sullivan, Plush & H. Daniel). 

In the Teams Points Score the CA Tritons finished 6th after visitors teams were taken out.
